 UST-KAMENOGORSK. September 7. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ 'We are ready to discuss all the ideas even those that were 'put aside', Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said it at the 7th Forum of Inter-Regional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in Ust-Kamenogorsk as a reply to the initiatives of the Kazakh President.

D. Medvedev agreed with N. Nazarbayev to establish a special joint state body that would work on simplifying the regime of crossing the borders for citizens of both countries. D. Medvedev noted that there a lot of difficulties in this issue that still have to be solved. Besides, he supported the initiative of N. Nazarbayev regarding establishing a joint state body on monitoring the situation. 'It seems that we work from forum to forum. All the reached agreements at the forums on boundary cooperation should be controlled and realized', the Russian President emphasized. 'I am confident that this forum will have its results', D. Medvedev noted.

In regard of Kazakhstan's initiative on developing norms of technical regulation D. Medvedev said that it was decided to apply the regulations of the EU in Russia and offered the same to Kazakhstan.
