ASTANA. September 7. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev have visited the Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University and 'Altai' Technology Park within the framework of the VII Forum of Inter-Regional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia; the Presidential press service told Kazinform.

The presidents visited the exhibition on new approaches in Kazakhstan's innovation policy and surveyed "IRGETAS" regional university engineering laboratory. The laboratory is a multi-access test center specializing in technological development nanotechnology for manufacturing of advanced materials for atomic industry, mechanical engineering, building industry and other industries.

Then N. Nazarbayev and D. Medvedev visited the East Kazakhstan Regional Technology Park Altai. The park consists of 13 scientific-research laboratories, 7 innovation companies, a patent information service, exhibition halls and workshops.
